Welcome to Antwerp Mansion.

Antwerp Mansion is a 200 year old sprawling Gothic era venue in South Manchester.

About

Day to day, Antwerp Mansion is used as a unique location for photo and video shoots. Every few months the space is used for art events that combine exhibitions, performance, stalls and workshops. Antwerp Mansion is one of England's most sought after spaces for paranormal investigations which are held most weekends.

History

The Mansion was first two adjoining houses when it was built in 1840, situated in the exclusive gated estate of Victoria Park. Over three decades, it was home to multiple wealthy families before finally being turned into one Mansion and renamed Antwerp House by the Pinto-Leites, a brand of the the Portuguese and Belgian royal families who also made it the Portuguese consulate for Manchester. The mansion was this families home until the early 1920's, where it then became a private members club and had a huge extension built, nearly doubling the buildings size. Many famous and powerful individuals visited over the years including Prime Minister, Winston Churchill. Nearly 20 years ago it came into its current owner, Andy's, possession and for a decade became legendary nightclub Antwerp Mansion. The Mansion is now mostly used for shoots, art events and paranormal investigations.
